This is me. Well to clarify, my full name is really Michael Kahn. I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado's mountainous city-limits, with a four year hiatus on Long Island, New York in a small town by the name of Cutchogue. Being lucky enough to grow up around such scenic places has truly been a gift and often a source of inspiration for my photography.
I have been personally shooting short films and taking photos for just about as long as I can remember, and have been professionally shooting for over 2 years now. In December, I will be graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Film Production. I have worked on award-winning student films, movies entered into Film Festivals, and have interned with the rock climbing documentary filmmakers, Reel Rock. Through film school and my real-world experience, I've acquired an extensive skillset for all types of media, and believe it has even given me a deeper appreciation for the power of image than you can find elsewhere.
As time has gone on, I've been more and more drawn to the picture aspect of "moving pictures." Fortunately, the gear of these two industries intertwine, and I have accumulated a wide array of high-grade professional photography and film equipment that can be effectively used for just about any type of shoot desired. Whether it is a single headshot or a 1000+ person multi-day event shoot or anything in-between, I've effectively used my gear and skillset to capture moments like these efficiently, unobtrusively and most of all beautifully.
